CANTON, Ohio – A funeral service celebrating the life of Mrs. Fosteena “Teena” Woody Moore will be held Tuesday, October 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Deliverance Christian Church in Canton, Ohio.
Mrs. Moore was born September 13, 1945 in Canton, Ohio.
She departed this life on October 13, 2016 to go to her Heavenly home.
Teena was preceded in death by her parents, James, Jr. and Beatrice Woody; her maternal grandparents, Harry and Ruth Garner; her paternal grandparents, James Woody, Sr. and Shelly Woody Overton.
Teena graduated from Canton South High School in 1963.
She worked at Ohio Bell prior to retiring from the Timken Company after 34 years of service.
Teena loved the Lord and her church family. She was a dedicated and faithful member of Deliverance Christian Church since 1980. She had the “gift of Helps” and it was manifested by the different areas she served within and outside the church.
She enjoyed spending time and baking cookies with her grandchildren. She was known for her delicious banana pudding and coconut cakes. She enjoyed traveling, writing poems, going to garage sales, flower arranging, interior decorating and going to lunch with her friends and especially the ones from the Timken Company.
Teena leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, James(JMo), Jr.; her loving sons, Bryant Woody, Christopher(Teron) Clax and Craig Foster; her loving daughter, Yolanda (Shaun) Curtis; her loving sisters, Diane(Floyd) Mcllwain and Brenda Woody; her loving brother, Duane( Izora) Summons; ten grandchildren whom she adored, Jacqui, Jarin, Savannah, Jarell, Ronald, Westley, Jaifin, Jarred, Brionna and Alex; six precious great-grandchildren, Justice, Major, Maverick, Jaclyn, Shailana and Lia; her loving mother-in-law, Lucy Moore; many brothers and sisters-in-law; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, uncles, aunts and her entire Deliverance Christian Church family; a host of special friends including, Sandra Armstead, Gennie Campbell, Delores Weir, Peggy Kirksey and Josephine Bryant.
Special thanks to her caregivers, Sandra Armstead, Gennie Campbell and her sisters, Diane Mcllwain and Brenda Woody. Special blessing to Dr. Chester Bartram and Dr. Chang and the nurses who prayed with and for her at Aultman and Aultman Specialty Hospitals.
The family will receive friends Monday, October 17 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm at J.E. Washington Funeral Home.
