HUBBARD, Ohio – George C. Shedd, 81, passed away Thursday morning, October 13, 2016, at his home.
George was born on September 15, 1935, in Brookfield, Ohio, a son of the late William and Jessie Shedd.
He was a graduate of Brookfield High School and was employed with GM Leaseway & Trucking.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served his country in the 28th Division and the Reserves.
He was a member of First Assembly of God in Hermitage, Pennsylvania.
He loved being with his family and watching his grandchildren; especially in their sports and activities.
George will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Rosalie (Pryts) Shedd, whom he married on June 7, 2003; three daughters, Renee Gilkey, Gayle Morocco and Courtney Swallow; a stepson, Ed Pryts; a stepdaughter, Debra Graham; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, William and Albert Shedd and his sister Eileen Baren. He was also preceded by his first wife, Michealene Kocis Shedd.
At George’s request, there are no services at this time and a caring cremation has taken place.
