Two 7-0 teams collide, Wilmington falls to Hickory

The Sharon Tigers used an amazing passing display to defeat Lakeview 55-6 at Tiger Stadium.

HERMITAGE, Pennsylvania (WKBN) – Charles Carr hit another scoring milestone as Hickory defeated Wilmington 28-20 in a battle of unbeaten teams.

The Greyhounds had the upper hand in the early going, Spencer DeMedal and Kyle Slicker scored touchdowns in the first quarter to give Wilmington a 14-0 lead.

That’s when Hickory’s record-setting back went to work. Trailing 14-0, Carr would go on to score the next four touchdowns in the game, and eclipsing the century mark for career touchdowns in the process. Carr now has 101 career touchdowns as a Hornet.

Wilmington (7-1) will host Slippery Rock in week nine. Hickory (8-0) will visit Reynolds.
