Memorial will meet Brookfield next week.

The Red Devils snapped their four-game losing streak by grinding out 383 rushing yards as a team in their 32-16 victory over Champion.

CAMPBELL, Ohio (WKBN) – The Red Devils snapped their four-game losing streak by grinding out 383 rushing yards as a team in their 32-16 victory over Champion.

Campbell (3-5) scored five touchdowns on the ground – 2 by Darion Jones and Brandon Liggens apiece and one by Braylon Liggens). Jones finished with 61 yards rushing on 10 attempts. Brandon had 81 on 9 carries while Braylon finished with 48 on 3 totes. Memorial was led by their standout runner Yianni Koullias – who posted his fourth highest rushing total of the year with 190. The Red Devils ran 1 pass play the entire game.

Champion (4-4) scored an average of 32 points per game through their first four contests. Since their win against Girard on September 16, the Golden Flashes have compiled a 1-3 mark and have averaged 12.5 points per game. The team’s quarterback Brandon Allen caught his first pass of the season which resulted in a 48-yard touchdown (from Noah Bayus). Allen finished the game by completing 11 of 22 for 153 yards. Bayus attempted 2 passes, ran the ball twice (once for a touchdown) and caught 5 passes for 36 yards. Nate Stahlman led Champion in rushing with 47 yards (10 carries). Receiver Jerry Sabo caught 3 passes for 63 yards (season-best) while Ashton Helman hauled in a 40-yard pass from Allen.
