Summers & Thompson lead Lisbon to ITCL White crown

The Blue Devils will look to win the league outright next week when they face Leetonia.

Columbiana struck first but Lisbon outscored the Clippers 33-7 over the course of the final 36 minutes of play to secure a 33-13 win. Lisbon has now clinched at least a share of the ITCL White Tier title. The Blue Devils have won their last three games by outscoring their opponents by a combined score of 118-43.

LISBON, Ohio (WKBN) – Columbiana struck first but Lisbon outscored the Clippers 33-7 over the course of the final 36 minutes of play to secure a 33-13 win. Lisbon has now clinched at least a share of the ITCL White Tier title. The Blue Devils have won their last three games by outscoring their opponents by a combined score of 118-43.

Cameron Summers and Jason Thompson each gained over 120 rushing yards. Summers eclipsed the 100-yard mark for the fifth time this season as he tallied 155 yards on only 11 rushing attempts (2 TDs). Thompson needed just 14 totes to get to 121 as he now has five games in which he scored at least 2 touchdowns. Lisbon’s quarterback Colin Sweeney ran for 22 yards and also passed for 40 on 3 of his 5 tosses. Seth Stokes caught 2 of those 3 passes from Sweeney as he picked up 50 yards through the air.

For Columbiana, Tanner Pearl surpassed the 100-rushing yard mark for the third time in the last four games. He needed 16 rushes to gain 142 yards (TD). Jakob Cross tallied 59 yards on the ground. Number 5 also finished with 79 yards passing after relieving Mitch Davidson (who threw a touchdown in the opening quarter).
