BERLIN CENTER, Ohio (WKBN) – Reserve’s Dominic Velasquez threw for 3 touchdowns in the Blue Devils 53-0 win over rival Jackson-Milton. Velasquez has thrown for 2 touchdowns on five different occasions this season.
Velasquez completed passes to 7 different receivers including a pair of touchdown tosses to Wyatt Larimer (who now has 7 TD catches on the season) and a 66-yard strike to Jack Cappabianca. Kade Hilles and Karl Klockenga had 59 and 57 yard receiving nights respectively. Klockenga led Reserve’s ground game with 79 yards on 3 carries, thanks to a 79-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. Austin Seifert scored twice on the ground in the first half as he finished his day early with 7 rushes for 73 yards.
Western Reserve compiled 535 yards of total offense which included 265 rushing and 270 passing.
Jackson-Milton closed out the contest with just 91 total yards. Jimmy Harper ran the ball 10 times for 48 yards. Blue Jay quarterback Jonathon Voland was 4 for 9 passing for 32 yards.
