WARREN, Ohio – William H. Thompson, Jr. of Warren, Ohio entered peacefully into eternal rest on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at 9:50 p.m., at Trumbull Memorial Health Care Center in Warren following a brief illness. He was 89.
William was born the son of the late William and Martha (Lee) Thompson on November 14, 1926 in St Louis, Missouri and had resided in the area for many years.
He was employed with the Standard Slag Corporation as a machine operator and was a member of Local 935.
William enjoyed fishing and playing cards with his friends in his spare time.
His memories will be remembered by those he leaves behind; son, Anthony (Janet) Jarrett of Warren, Ohio and grandchildren, Korey Jarrett, Kandace Sparks and Kayla Sparks.
William is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Clara Jarrett who passed away October 8, 2001 and a son, Tracey Jarrett.
The family will receive friends at Anthony Jarrett’s home, 2903 Merriweather, Warren, Ohio.
A gathering will be held 3:00 – 5:00 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road, NE, Warren, Ohio.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warren, Ohio.
