CAMPBELL, Ohio (WKBN) – Campbell City Schools is looking for some monetary help from the community.
The district launched a campaign asking for donations to help fund a new Student Activity Recreation Center. Designs of the center include basketball and volleyball courts, a track, fitness center and multi-purpose rooms.
The school is hoping for around $2.5 million in donations to help build the new facility.
“Now we set aside $2.5 million. Depending on how this campaign goes, it will determine what type of facility we build. If we do not reach our goal, obviously we’ll build a smaller facility,” said Campbell Schools Superintendent Matt Bowen.
Bowen says he hopes the schools can break ground next fall. The district says the facility will be attractive for future business development.
