Troopers seize $340,000 in cocaine on Ohio Turnpike

Eight pounds of cocaine were found in the trunk of the car

Eight pounds of cocaine was seized during a traffic stop in Richfield, Ohio.

RICHFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – A traffic stop on the Ohio Turnpike in Richfield turned into a major drug bust.

Troopers pulled over a car last Monday on the turnpike for a lane change violation.

When troopers approached the vehicle, they spotted a marijuana shake in plain view and initiated a search of the car where they found 8 pounds of cocaine in the trunk.

Troopers arrested the driver, Tanecia Richardson, 31, of Morgantown, Va., and charged her with aggravated possession and aggravated drug trafficking.

Richardson is being held in the Summit County Jail.
