Drivers injured in Austintown accident

The accident happened just after 10 a.m. Tuesday

One car was headed west on Mahoning Avenue when it hit a vehicle heading north on Four Mile Run. One of the drivers had to be cut form the vehicle and taken to the hospital.


AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Two drivers received minor injuries after a crash in Austintown, reports Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened just after 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Highway Patrol said Sonja Rowbotham was traveling on Four Mile Run Road in a 2003 Mitsubishi when she was struck by Patricia Boyce, who was turning left on to Mahoning Avenue. Boyce was cited for failure to yield.

Highway Patrol said both women had minor injuries, and Boyce was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital after being cut from the vehicle.
