Why should you be elected
• I possess the experience and qualifications that are needed to be a great judge.
• I have been an assistant prosecutor in Youngstown, Struthers and for Mahoning County, handling the most serious offenses committed in our County.
• I have been a Magistrate in the Mahoning County Juvenile Court for 14 years handling the most serious crimes committed by juvenile offenders.
• I have protected, and will continue to protect our community.

Biography
Anthony grew up in Lowellville then moved to Poland in High School, graduating from Poland Seminary In 1987.

He then went to John Carroll University and graduated cum laude, with a degree in Sociology.

He attended Law School at Case Western Reserve University, graduating in 1994.

Upon passage of the Ohio Bar Exam, he entered into the practice of law with his Father, Lou and his cousin, David in Boardman.

He represented those who could not afford counsel in the City of Youngstown and throughout Mahoning County.

He became an assistant prosecutor for the City of Youngstown and later for the City of Struthers in 1996 and 1997.

He became an assistant trial criminal prosecutor for Mahoning County, assigned to the courtroom of Judge R. Scott Krichbaum in 1999.

In 2002 Anthony became a Magistrate in the Mahoning County Juvenile Court. He was assigned the delinquency, dependency and paternity docket.

In 2005 he took on the additional duties of Juvenile Court Administrator. As such, he oversees the daily operations of the Court, prepares the budget and implements the same, monitoring both state and federal grants.

He has since expanded the dockets over which he presides at the court as well.

He now oversees the Supreme Court Specialized Dockets of 1) Treatment Court, 2) Mental Health Court and 3)Re-entry Court.

His caseload includes over two thousand hearings per year, including the traffic docket, the dependency docket and the third party custody docket, as well as his continual presiding over the most serious cases on the delinquency docket, including gun cases.

He has also been the President of the Board of the Mahoning County High School since it’s inception, over six years ago, providing access to educational opportunities for those youth that have been suspended or expelled from their home school. The MCHS graduated it’s 200th student last year.

He also serves on the Boards of the Unlimited Classroom (online school) and the Café Augustine, a café that provides work training for underprivileged youth.

He has taught courses in Juvenile Delinquency at Youngstown State University and has lectured for the Judicial College of the Supreme Court of Ohio.

He also serves as the Solicitor for the Village of Poland providing legal guidance for the Village, Mayor and Council.

He lives in Poland with his wife Melissa, daughter Myranda (20) and son, Nick (16).
