LaBrae ousts Brookfield to keep season alive

Leavittsburg, OH (WKBN) – The LaBrae volleyball team defeated Brookfield, 3-2 Tuesday in a Division III Sectional Semifinal at LaBrae High School.

The Vikings won a close first set, 27-25 but dropped Game 2, 25-10 to the Warriors. LaBrae took the third game, before Brookfield forced a decisive 5th set with a 25-18 win in Game 4. The Vikings went on to win, 16-14 in a thrilling 5th set.

LaBrae was led by Morgan Meyer with 11 points, while Amanda Reppart added 9 kills and 8 blocks. Arianna Geordan also had 22 assists and 3 aces, while Haylie Kiser contributed 23 digs.

LaBrae advances to play top-seeded Newton Falls Thursday at 7 PM at LaBrae High School.
