MCDONALD, Ohio – Betty Daniluk, age 90, passed away peacefully at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at her home in McDonald, Ohio.
Betty was born May 31, 1926, in Girard, Ohio, the daughter of the late William and Levinia Lewis Cook.
Betty was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Girard, Ohio, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir for many years. She worked for the family businesses and enjoyed reading and painting, but her gift to the world was her wonderful sense of humor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Daniluk, whom she married on January 30, 1946. They celebrated 69 years together until George’s passing on May 3, 2015.
She is survived by her daughter, Georgeanne Daniluk of Cortland; her sons, Daniel (Terri) Daniluk of McDonald and Stephen Mark (Cindy) Daniluk of Mineral Ridge and her daughter, Levinia “Vinnie” Daniluk of Whately, Massachusetts, as well as 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, four brothers, Roy Cook, Sam Cook, William Cook and Thomas Cook and two sisters, Levinia Cornelius and Annabelle Gainard.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 78 E. Liberty St., Girard, Ohio, at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2016.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 21 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Mineral Ridge Chapel, 1350 N. Niles-Canfield Rd.
Burial will be at Kerr Cemetery in Weathersfield Township.
