12 apply for vacant Austintown Schools Board of Education spot

All of the applicants were interviewed Monday, and the board will select a replacement at its meeting on October 27

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Twelve people have applied to fill the vacant spot on the Austintown Board of Education after the resignation of Lou Chine.

Chine resigned last month due to health reasons.

Applicants include:

  • Don Sherwood
  • Omar Jadue
  • Robin Krempasky
  • Anthony DeNiro
  • Raymond Vitullo
  • David Daichendt
  • Alex Benyo
  • Fred Marcum
  • Chris Mowery
  • Barbara Martini
  • Theresa Lyden
  • Christine Gaca

All of the applicants were interviewed Monday by the remaining school board members, and the board will select a replacement at its meeting on October 27.

The person selected will serve until Dec. 31, 2017.
