YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN)-
*Flash Flood Watch* for in effect for all of the WKBN viewing area until noon on Friday*
WHAT WE’RE TRACKING
Scattered rain will be around for the evening commute. Some moderate to heavy rain showers are expected off and on during the evening and overnight hours. A storm system continues to push rain into the area from the west and southwest. A cool night is ahead with low temperatures falling into the middle 40s as a cold front pushes through.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING INTO
The risk for heavy rain will stay in the forecast through Friday. Rain could add up from 1 to 2 inches or even more in isolated areas through Friday night. A *Flash Flood Watch* is in effect because of the already wet ground and more heavy rain possible. It will turn colder Friday and Saturday with a chance for a snowflake or ice pellet into early Saturday morning. Saturday will only reach into the upper 40’s. A few lake effect rain showers are possible.
The chance for showers will end Saturday night. Sunday will be partly sunny day. Better weather returns into early next week with warmer temperatures.
