Player of the Game: Cardinal Mooney’s Patrick Pelini

Pelini scored the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter, and also returned a punt for a score in the win.

Cardinal Mooney's Patrick Pelini was named Player of the Game for his play in the Cardinals' thrilling 13-9 win over arch-rival Ursuline.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Cardinal Mooney’s Patrick Pelini was named Player of the Game for his play in the Cardinals’ thrilling 13-9 win over arch-rival Ursuline in the High School Football Game of the Week on FOX Youngstown in week nine of the regular season.

The award is sponsored by Knight Line Embroidery and Screen Printing.

Pelini scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 1-yard plunge with :24 left in the game to seal the deal.  He also returned a punt for a touchdown in the victory for the Cardinals.
