SEBRING, Ohio – Betty J. Murtha, 93 of Sebring passed away at her home on Saturday, October 22, 2016.
Betty was born in Sebring on December 26, 1922, the daughter of the late Fred and Gladys (Wright) Weimer.
She retired as the Owner/Operator of Trianon Bar and Restaurant in 1972.
Betty was a member of the VFW Aux. #6730 and American Legion Aux. #76.
She attended the Sebring Presbyterian Church, enjoyed traveling, playing cards and table games.
Survivors include her husband, John “Jack” Murtha, whom she married on June 25, 2009 of Sebring; daughters, Betty Henson of Sebring and Connie Crowe of Alliance; a son, William Devine of Alliance; stepchildren, James A. Murtha of Lynchburg, Virginia, Betty Newburg of Elwood City, Pennsylvania and Barbara A. Wax of Orlando, Florida; 16 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepson Thomas Murtha; her brothers, Paul and Fred Weimer and her first and second husbands.
A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
