Sharpsville outlasts Sharon in a shootout on Senior Night

Sharpsville's Bobby Besser breaks off a big gainer in the Blue Devils win over Sharon Saturday night.

SHARPSVILLE, PA (WKBN)-Sharpsville used a late interception to hold off Sharon in a shootout Saturday night, beating the Tigers 42-35.

It was Sharon scoring first thanks to Jordan Wilson breaking off a 33-yard touchdown run to put the Tigers up 7-0.

The lead wouldn’t last long for Sharon as the Blue Devils marched down the field and capped the drive off with a Cameron Preeble rushing touchdown to tie the game at 7.

Sharpsville would take the lead on their next drive thanks to a big run by Bobby Besser which brought the Blue Devils in the red zone before Besser capped it off a few players later to give Sharpsville the lead.

Both teams are heading to the playoffs in District 10.
