CANFIELD, Ohio – Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 26 at the Lane Family Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel for Richard James Cutting, 73 of Canfield, who passed away Monday morning, October 24, at Grace Woods Senior Living Center in Salem.
Richard was born December 15, 1942 in Canfield the son of John and Pearl (Mitchell) Cutting.
He was a graduate of Canfield High School class of 1960 and was a Navy veteran serving aboard the USS Galveston. Richard received an Honorable Discharge from the Navy on July 28, 1964.
He retired in 1999 from Mercer Welding as a welder after 30 years of service. Prior to that he worked at Baird Trailer Manufacturing.
He was a member of the Disciples of Christ Christian Church and was an avid hunter and horseman.
Richard is survived by one sister, Geraldine M. Brown of Canfield; two nephews, Steven (Theresa) Brown of Canfield and Thomas (Laura) Brown of Youngstown; one niece, Lynn Fredo of Salem and several great-nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Richard was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Cutting; one sister Eleanor Pricer and one nephew, Dale Brown.
Friends may call from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Lane Family Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel where services will be held immediately following at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 26.
