WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Warren woman was assaulted after she said a man stole her friend’s motorbike and punched her in the face, according to police.

The incident happened Sunday around 7:15 p.m.

Police found her sitting on the curb on North Street, holding her face. Officers could see bruising and swelling on her cheekbone.

She told them her friend brought his motorbike to her apartment and two unknown black men stole it, taking it through yards to a house on Freeman Street.

When they saw this, they called police and waited on the sidewalk for officers to arrive.

While they were waiting, the woman said one of the men came up to them and asked what they were doing. She said he became angry and started threatening them.

According to a police report, the man punched her in the face and ran away.

She was taken to Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

Police looked around the house on Freeman and surrounding yards, but couldn’t find the motorbike.
