Police investigating robbery of Chase Bank in Austintown

Police said they have a lead on a possible suspect, but no arrests have been made at this time

Chase Bank are investigating a robbery at the bank.

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Police are investigating a reported robbery at the Chase Bank in Austintown.

The Austintown Police Department has a lead on a possible suspect. No arrests have been made at this time.

Austintown police officers and the FBI were called to the bank on Mahoning Avenue around 11 a.m. Tuesday after a man came into the bank and threatened a teller. Police said the man referred to a gun, although he didn’t pull a gun out.

The suspect then made off with an unspecified amount of cash.

The bank was temporarily closed during the initial investigation.
