AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Mineral Ridge teacher and former girls varsity track coach is off the job.

The Weathersfield Board of Education voted at its October meeting to indefinitely suspend Matthew Blair without pay after he was indicted by a Mahoning County grand jury on felony charges of voyeurism, possessing criminal tools and interception of wire, oral or electronic communication.

Blair’s suspension beings Thursday, Oct. 27.

The charges were leveled against Blair after police say he was caught video taping a young girl who was living in his Austintown home.

Austintown Police raided Blair’s home in June. He was indicted in July.

Investigators say Blair can be seen on the video coming into the girl’s room and adjusting the camera.

Blair is scheduled for a court appearance Nov. 3.
