POLAND, Ohio – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 29 at 10:00 a.m. at the Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. John Catholic Church, for Margaret M. Biska, 94, formerly of Campbell, who passed away Wednesday evening, October 26, at Ivy Woods Manor, with her family by her side.
Margaret was born March 26, 1922, in Chicago, the daughter of Frank and Mary Speller Kuruzovich and moved to Campbell when she was six months old.
She worked in the kitchen for the Campbell City Schools for many years.
Margaret was a member of the Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. John Catholic Church, the Croatian Ladies Club and the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association. She enjoyed playing bingo, and was a huge Cleveland Indians fan. Go Tribe!
Her husband, Steve Biska, whom she married April 24, 1946, passed away May 17, 1972.
Margaret leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Lou (Peg) Biska of Boardman and Cathy (Jack) Thomas of Struthers and her grandson, Jake Thomas, also of Struthers.
Besides her parents and her husband, Steve, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Mrs. Rose Brines and Mrs. Louise Skripac.
Margaret’s family would like to especially thank her caregivers, Richelle, Maggie, Chris, Regina, Theresa M. and David and Theresa, along with the entire staff of Ivy Woods Manor.
The Biska family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Saturday morning from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at the church.
