EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio – Marilyn K. Bentz of Lisbon Street passed away Wednesday morning, October 26, 2016 at Life Line Hospital in Wintersville. She was 77.
Born in East Liverpool, July 11, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Harold Arthur Blackhurst and Vada Marie Walker Blackhurst Kinemond. She had lived in this area all her life and was a loving homemaker, taking great pride in raising her family.
Marilyn was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Parish at St. Aloysius Church and had belonged to the ELHS Band Boosters at one time.
Her husband, Richard A. Bentz, survives her at home. The couple married July 22, 1961.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her sons, Richard Timothy Bentz of Hudson, Florida, Daniel Scott Bentz and his wife, Carissa, of Ohioville, Pennsylvania and John Patrick Bentz and his wife, Dena, of East Liverpool.
A daughter, Kathleen Jo “Kathy” Densmore, preceded her in death on December 8, 2004.
Marilyn was a loving grandmother to Scott Barton, Katie Parr, Timothy Densmore, Sean Densmore, Tobiah Ohler, Jacob Densmore, Maria Miller and Zachery Bentz. She will also be fondly remembered by three great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, William Arthur Blackhurst.
Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home Friday, October 28 where the family will be present from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Catholic Funeral Rites will take place at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 29, with Father Eric Antwi of Sacred Heart Church as the celebrant.
Burial will follow at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
