Howland girls heading to Regionals

Howland advances to face Hathaway Brown in the Division II Regional Semifinals Tuesday at Twinsburg High School at 7PM.

Howland blanked Lakeview 3-0 to win the Division II Girls Soccer District Title.

NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – The Howland Girls Soccer Team blanked Lakeview 3-0 in the Division II District Finals Thursday night at Niles McKinley High School.

The game was scoreless at the half, but the Tigers got on the board when Sara Ciletti found the back of the net off an assist from Leah Pollifrone.  Bella Merlo and Na’Pier Ramsey added one goal apiece off assists from Ashley Chambers.

Howland Goalkeeper Kamryn Buckley finished with nine saves, while Lakeview’s Miranda Meffe added six in the setback.

Lakeview ends the season with a record of 13-4-1.

Howland improves to 12-6-1 on the season.  The Tigers advance to face Hathaway Brown in the Division II Regional Semifinals Tuesday at Twinsburg High School at 7PM.
