YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday November 2, 2016 at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Hubbard with Rev. Michael Swierz officiating for Edward J. Czopor age 70, of Coitsville Township who passed away Thursday October 27, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Edward was born May 25, 1946 in Youngstown, Ohio a son of Michael J. and Rose E. Helon Czopor.
He was a 1964 graduate of North High School.
Edward was a mechanic for 36 years at General Motors in Lordstown before retiring in 2001.
He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and tinkering in the garage.
He will be sadly missed by his family; his wife the former Geraldine F. Sikora whom he married June 10, 1972; his children Frank M. (Monica) Czopor of Liberty, Michael E. Czopor of Campbell and Rosemary H. (Jared) Librich of Lexington, South Carolina and two grandchildren, Christian and Ethan.
He also leaves his brother, John M. (Patricia) Czopor of Hubbard.
His parents preceded him in death.
There will be calling hours on Tuesday November 1, 2016 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday November 2, 2016 from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. with prayers at 9:30 a.m. at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home.
Edward will be laid to rest at St. John’s Cemetery in Lowellville.
