BAZETTA TOWNSHIP, Ohio – Dorothy J. Wilkes, age 91, passed away Friday afternoon, October 28, 2016, at St. Joseph Medical Center.
Dorothy was born December 5, 1924, in Cortland, to the late William and Effie (Grogg) Hefner.
She was a member of Bazetta Christian Church.
She was employed by Mullins Manufacturing and Linville Clothing; she was also the secretary and bookkeeper for the family business.
Dorothy enjoyed painting, drawing and was known for her dinner rolls and pie.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 73 years, Richard Wilkes; her children, Richard (Sue) Wilkes, James (Donna) Wilkes and Dona (Larry) Phillips; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara; two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services are private.
Interment in Hillside Cemetery.
