CORTLAND, Ohio – Harold H. Turnage passed away Friday, October 28, 2016 at Concord Care Center in Cortland.
Harold was born July 7, 1930 in Lincoln Parish, Louisiana a son of the late Hiram and Claudia Dumas Turnage.
He had worked at Texas Oil Refinery in Texas before moving to Ohio. Harold worked at Ajax Magnethermic in Warren for many years.
He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses – Cortland.
As a young man, he enjoyed calf roping with his quarter horse at rodeos. Later in life he enjoyed birding, fishing and traveling.
Harold will be sadly missed by his wife the former Marilyn Bartlett, whom he married March 13, 1958; his daughter, Camala (Thomas) Yount of Cortland; three grandchildren, Crystal Hill, David Hill and Nicholas Pozega; one great-grandson, Jayden Hill and many nieces and nephews.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Norval and Hansel Turnage.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3043 Bradley Brownlee Rd., Cortland, Ohio 44410.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the services.
