WARREN, Ohio – Tommy “Chickenman” Dyson Jr., 66, of 426 Atlantic Street, N.E., Warren, departed this life Friday, October 28, 2016 at 9:25 p.m. at St. Joseph Hospital, following complications from a short illness.
He was born December 15, 1949 in Clarksville, Mississippi, the son of Tommie and Annie Mae Stevenson Dyson, Sr., residing in the area for 53 years, coming from Helena, Alaska.
Mr. Dyson was Owner/Operator of Dyson’s Lawncare Service and drove a cab for USA Cab Service for many years.
He enjoyed fishing, gardening and was a 1967 graduate of Warren Western Reserve High School.
He leaves to mourn one son, Tommy (Jasmond) Dyson of Warren; two stepsons, Alvin Crenshaw and Kevin Crenshaw both of Warren; one stepdaughter, Ms. Shenetta Crenshaw of Columbus; one brother, Clifton L. Dyson-Ritter of Charlotte, North Carolina; one stepbrother, Lathan Swinger of Leavittsburg; fiance, Ms. Brenda Baugh of Warren; 16 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Ms. Mildred A. Dyson.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 3 at 12:00 Noon at the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Chapel.
Calling Hours will be held one hour prior to service 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at 426 Atlantic Street, N.W.
Arrangements of comfort were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home.
