YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Veronica “Ronnie/Red” McCullough, 65 of Youngstown, departed this life Saturday, October 29, 2016.
She was born June 14, 1951, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Benjamin Lloyd and Lula Mae Mincy McCullough.
She was employed with Republic Steel Corp. for several years and was a home maker.
She attended Light House Ministries, belonged to Kinsmanship Care Program and loved taking care of her family.
She leaves to mourn one son, Maurice Thomas of Youngstown; five daughters, Ms. Annette Mitchell, Ms. Chamaine McCullough, Ms. Jeanetta Berry, Ms. Tina Sherene and Ms. Shayla McCullough (granddaughter she raised) all of Youngstown; three brothers, Miller McCullough, Carl McCullough and Myron “Brother” McCullough all of Youngstown; two sisters, Ms. Annie “Doll” McCullough and Ms. Myra “Sister” McCullough both of Youngstown; 28 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Thomas, Sr.; two sons, Edward Thomas, Jr. and DeJuan E. Thomas, Sr.; two daughters, Danika Joyner and Dorothy Lynn Mitchell; five brothers, Jesse and Joseph Brack, James, Sonny and Lloyd Jr. McCullough and one sister, Eloise Shelton.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 4, 2016 at 12:00 Noon at the Sterling-McCullough Williams Youngstown Funeral Chapel.
Calling Hours will be held one hour prior to service (11:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon).
Burial will take place at Tod Homestead Cemetery.
Arrangements of comfort were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Youngstown Funeral Home.
