YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Property taxes in Mahoning County are due Monday, Oct. 31.

The balance must be settled by 4:30 p.m. All delinquent accounts will be published in local newspapers on Dec. 6.

Payments postmarked October 31, 2016, does not guarantee removal from being put in the paper, Treasurer Daniel Yemma explains.

Taxes can be paid at the treasurer’s officer between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Payments arrangements can be made by calling 1-888-891-5054 or (330) 740-2460 Ext. 7774.

Online payments can also be made through the Mahoning County website.

Yemma estimates the third billing will result in the collection of approximately $2 million additional in real estate taxes.  The monies collected in the third billing are distributed among local school districts, township and municipal governments and voter-approved countywide levies.
