BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – On Tuesday, actress Bellamy Young — best known for her role as First Lady Mellie Grant in ABC’s “Scandal” — was in Boardman campaigning for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
She also encouraged early voting.
Young compared her politically-themed show to this years election.
“TV is far more salacious,” Young said. “So we had to go veer into left field, although this race has often outpaced us.”
Young also stopped in Medina, Akron and Massilon on Tuesday.
Ohio’s early voting hours run from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays. On Saturday, November 5, Ohioans can go to their local board of elections from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday, November 6, from 1 to 5 p.m.
Friday, Clinton will be in Cleveland, joining rapper Jay Z at a performance at the Wolstein Center at Cleveland State University.
