WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Police said a pit bull was shot and killed in Warren on Monday, but finding out exactly what happened was difficult for investigators.
Officers were called to a house on Freeman Street around 9:15 p.m.
A woman who lived in the home told police that her daughter, boyfriend and three others were arguing on the front porch when their dog ran out onto the porch. She said one of the people pulled out a gun and shot the dog.
Police tried to interview those involved in the argument but wrote in a police report that there was a lot of yelling and screaming, and no one wanted to give officers information as to what happened.
The dog was found dead in the driveway, and a 9 mm shell was taken as evidence.
