HOWLAND, Ohio – Bettie S. Hermison, 88 of Howland, died Tuesday morning, November 1, 2016, at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland.
She was born August 15, 1928 in Lorain, the daughter of the late George and Eleanor R. Ross Springer.
She had been a Howland Township resident most of her life.
Bettie was a high school graduate and an alumni of Niles McKinley High School.
She worked for Kohl’s Department Store in her retirement and previously worked for Packard Electric Corp., Montgomery Ward as a delivery scheduler, the Carlisle Allen Company for many years at the Estee Lauder cosmetics counter and Roberta’s in Warren.
Bettie was active in the Warren Mothers of Twins Club and loved spending time with her family.
Her husband, Edward A. Hermison, whom she married June 25, 1949 preceded her in death July 10, 1992. One daughter, Cindy L. Hermison preceded her on July 4, 1988; a brother, Robert Springer and a sister, Patricia Edmondson also preceded in death.
Bettie is survived by one daughter, Laurie L. (Alan) Davis-Hermison of Niles; one son, Mark E. (Susan Roes) Hermison of Afton, Minnesota and two grandsons, Kenneth and Chris.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2016 and also one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service on Saturday at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren, with the Rev. Mary Ann Short officiating.
Burial will be at Howland Township Cemetery.
