WARREN, Ohio – Maria C. Williams, 57, of 625 Hoyt Street, S.W., Warren, Ohio, departed this life Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 6:17 p.m. at her residence, following complications of a short illness.
She was born February 4, 1959 in Tamuning, Guam, the daughter of Enrique and Maria Cabrera Castro Duenas, residing in the area for 36 years.
She was employed with the Warren Trumbull Community Service Agency for one year as a Bus Aide. She worked for Delphi Packard Electric from 1994-2006 as an Assembler on the Battery Line.
She was a 1978 graduate of Guam Vocational Technical High School.
Ms. Williams was a member of New Freedom Missionary Baptist Church, where she was Chairman of the Kitchen Committee, assisted with Vacation Bible School and enjoyed cooking, flower gardening and bar-b-queing.
She served honorably in the U.S. Army as an E1, receiving the Rifle M16 Marksman Qualification Badge.
She leaves to mourn one son, Antoine Z. (Latonya) Williamson of Warren; one daughter, Ms. Tiffany D. Williamson of Warren; two brothers, Francisco C. Duenas of Chalan Pago, Guam and Johnny C. Duenas of Yigo, Guam; six sisters, Mrs. Dorothea C. (Serafin) Garcia and Ms. Doris C. Duenas both of Dededo, Guam, Ms. Rosario C. Duenas and Ms. June Duenas both of Reno, Nevada, Ms. Julia C. Caldwell of San Antonio, Texas and Ms. Elizabeth C. Duenas of Toto, Guam; two grandchildren; mother and father-in-law, Joseph and Eleanor Williamson of Warren; two nieces, Ms. Rhonda Bennett of Warren and Mrs. Shari (Leroy) Williams of Conyers, Georgia; a cousin, Ms. Geraldine Marsh of Warren and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Jose C., Pedro C., Victor C., Enrique C. and Joaquin C. Duenas and one sister, Ms. Silvia C. Marsh.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Freedom Missionary Baptist Church.
Calling Hours will be held one hour prior to service (10:00-11:00 a.m.).
Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at 2786 Randolph Street, N.W., the home her son, Antoine Williamson.
Arrangements of comfort were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home.
