Reynolds’ season comes to an end against unbeaten Iroquois

Reynolds ends its season at 4-6

Ethan Reiser's touchdown with just minutes to go in the game secured a 29-22 opening round playoff win for Greenville over Seneca Friday night.

ERIE, Pennsylvania (WKBN) – Despite turning the ball over four times, Iroquois continues their unbeaten season as they drop Reynolds, 41-24, in the District 10 Class AA Quarterfinal round from Veterans Stadium in Erie.

The Braves’ Tyler Barone ran for 207 yards while scoring two touchdowns. Zach Laniewicz added two scores on the ground and one through the air as he totaled 123 total yards from scrimmage.

During the regular season, the Braves’ defense allowed just one team to score 17 points or more (Seneca, 28). Reynolds registered 17 points in the first half as they took a 17-14 lead midway through the second quarter.

The Raiders’ Damion Gearhart led the team’s rushing attack as he tallied 108 yards on 22 carries. Garrett Daniello – who left the game due to injury – ran for 50 yards on 6 attempts while passing for 17 yards. Tylir Shannon relieved Daniello and completed 5 of 11 for 46 yards and a touchdown.

Reynolds began the season with a 3-1 record; however, have lost five of their final six games to end the season at 4-6. The Raiders were outscored in the last three games by a combined total of 122-31.
