YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio said a Youngstown man pleaded guilty to selling heroin that resulted in a fatal overdose.
Lebron Bunkley, 37, pleaded guilty to distribution of heroin, cocaine and crack cocaine, being a felon in possession of firearms, and using firearms and ammunition in furtherance of drug trafficking.
A search of Bunkley’s house revealed 286 grams of heroin, 345 grams of powder cocaine, 84 grams of crack cocaine, two firearms and ammunition.
Bunkley said he sold heroin to a man identified as “J.P.” in court documents.
J.P. was found dead in a vacant lot in May, still clutching a needle in his hands.
Investigators say that, according to cell phone records, his last call was to Bunkley.
He is scheduled for sentencing on February 7.
