The Hornets advance to the District 10 Championship game with a 33-10 win over Slippery Rock Saturday.

Hickory's Carr breaks D-10 rushing record in big win

Greenville, PA (WKBN) – Hickory senior Chuck Carr made history in a 33-10 win over Slippery Rock Saturday in a Class AAA District 10 Semifinal.

Carr scored 4 touchdowns and passed Lakeview running back Blake Reddick as District X’s all-time leading rusher as the Hornets advance to the District 10 Championship next Saturday. Hickory will play for their 6th straight D-10 title.

The Hornets took an early lead in the first quarter with a touchdown run by Carr. The senior followed that up with a 15-yard touchdown in the 2nd quarter, giving Hickory a 14-0 halftime lead.

Nate Marchand added the other score for Hickory, on a 14 yard rushing touchdown to start the 3rd quarter.
