Hoban displays dominance; Howland’s eliminated

AKRON, Ohio (WKBN) – The Hoban Knights picked up where they left off during their last post-season game – where they won the 2015 Division III State Championship versus Toledo Central Catholic, 33-20 – by defeating Howland 37-0 this evening. Hoban improves to 10-1.

Todd Sibley reached the endzone three times – once in each of the first three quarters.

On Sibley’s first offensive touch, he ran 77-yards to give the Knights the early 7-0 lead with 8:13 remaining in the first quarter.

Since losing to St. Edward (10-7) in week two, Hoban ran off 9 wins to finish off their regular season over teams such as Ursuline (37-12), St. Vincent-St. Mary (24-0), Lake Catholic (41-10) and Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin (41-21).

Howland began the season with a 0-2 mark then won seven in a row before falling to Warren Harding (40-20) in the regular season finale.
