Trumbull County voters receive wrong voting info

Postcards with the wrong early-voting polling location were mailed out

Postcards were sent to registered voters in Trumbull County, urging them to get out and vote early -- but telling them to go to the wrong polling location.

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Postcards were sent to registered voters in Trumbull County, urging them to get out and vote early — but telling them to go to the wrong polling location.

Hundreds of complaints and concerns came into the Trumbull County Election Board.

WKBN spoke with Stephanie Penrose, director of the Election Board. Voters told her the postcards came from the Ohio Democratic Party.

She said that regardless of how voters got the wrong information, it’s now her job to make sure they get the right information.

“We are trying to get the word out through the media, through our website,” Penrose said. “Please, contact us to find your correct polling location.”

Penrose said that any voters in Trumbull County can find their polling locations on the website or by calling their office at 330-369-4050.
