YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – James E. Hall, 74, passed away at home on Sunday, November 6, 2016.
He was born in Youngstown on May 21, 1942, son to the late Elmer and Frances (Blaney) Hall.
James was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and a veteran of the United States Air Force where served as a medic and gained the rank of Staff Sergeant. After his service, James worked as a truck driver for USF Holland until retiring in 2008.
James was a member of AMVETS post #44, Girard American Legion and Teamsters.
He will be remembered for the enjoyment he found bowling and golfing and for the love of his grandchildren.
Left to celebrate James’s memory is his loving wife of 46 years, Marilyn Hall, whom he married on October 24, 1970. James is also survived by his children, Gary (Denise) Hall, James (Tammy) Hall and Jo Ellen (Dennis) Hall Dofner and his grandchildren, Austin, Ashley, Jimmy, Jennifer, Jordan, and Dennis, Jr.
In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his sisters, Georgie Rose Hall and Carol Siefert.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, November 12 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Summit Assembly of God Church, 2615 Salt Springs Rd., McDonald.
A memorial service will follow calling hours at 5:00 p.m.
