Game Notes: The Raiders allowed 442 yards of offense to be gained by Brecksville-Broadview Heights last weekend but still prevailed, 56-48. That marked just the third time this season that an opponent had accumulated more than 300-yards of offense against their defensive unit.

Senior Lynn Bowden has now compiled 947 rushing yards in his last five games (189.4 average) while scoring 17 touchdowns on the ground. Bowden has also not thrown an interception since week five as he’s completed 70% of his passes (35-50) since then.

Chardon posted their first undefeated regular season since 1998. The Hilltoppers, however, did not face a team during the regular season who had advanced to the OHSAA post-season.

With their signature Wing-T offense, the Toppers posted an average of 50.9 points over their last ten games. In the opening playoff game, Chardon scored the first 49 points of the game to cruise to a 56-6 win over the Bearcats of Bedford. Quarterback Tommy Benenati ran for 216 yards and scored twice. Joe Cyvas (107 yards) and Joey Dinko (103 yards, 3 TDs) each ran for over 100-yards as well.
