Sean O’Brien elected to serve District 32 in state senate

O’Brien was serving his third term in Trumbull County’s 63rd district as a state representative

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Democrat Sean O’Brien was elected senator of the 32nd district, which includes Trumbull and Ashtabula counties.

Before running for this seat, O’Brien served in Trumbull County’s 63rd district as a state representative. He was in his third term.

While a representative, O’Brien served as the Ranking Member on the Energy & Natural Resources Committee, and as a member on the Agriculture & Rural Development and Public Utilities committees.

O’Brien was a Trumbull County prosecutor for over 12 years.

He founded the Trumbull County Community Foundation, which raises money for people in need and funding for economic development. O’Brien also serves on the boards of several community organizations, including Someplace Safe and Inspiring Minds.
