A car crashes into a pole and house in Warren, causing a widespread power outage.

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Nearly all power has been restored to some power customers in Warren following an accident Thursday.

A car that crashed into a pole caused a widespread power outage in the city.

The driver of an SUV crashed into a pole in the 2000 block of Clermont Avenue just after 4 p.m.

A transformer blew and caused a fire, according to dispatch.

The driver then drove into a home, damaging one corner of the house. The gaping hole in the house has since been boarded up.

According to First Energy, around 2,200 people were without power when the accident happened.
