Disturbance at New Castle’s Light Up Night leads to charges

NEW CASTLE, Pa. (WKBN) – Three teenagers will be charged following an incident Thursday night in New Castle.

One will possibly face charges for attempted assault, and two for disorderly conduct.

They were loitering near a fast-food restaurant after the Light Up Night celebration. Police said one teen took a swing at an officer and missed.

New Castle had multiple officers in the downtown area for the holiday event.

The city had a similar disturbance after the 2015 Fireworks Festival, around July 4.
