Fire destroys home of Youngstown family, pregnant mother

Everyone in the Garfield Street home got out safely

A fire destroys a home on Garfield Street in Youngstown.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A family of seven, including a pregnant mother, is homeless Friday night after a fire damaged their Youngstown home.

The fire broke out just after 8 p.m. on Garfield Street, just west of Hillman Street.

According to fire crews, it may have started on the first floor and quickly spread.

Everyone in the home got out safely. The mother is about to give birth to another child.

Their home was built in 2005.
