SALEM, Ohio (WKBN) – More families in the Valley are relying on food pantries.
Saturday, 11 food pantries in Columbiana County got a generous donation in the form of a $29,000 check from the Arby’s Cruisin’ Crew.
Money from car shows helped make it possible.
This is the 10th year the Cruisin’ Crew has raised money for food pantries. It has seen the need grow through the years.
“It’s totally amazing how much you see more people being able to use the programs and the work of all the different communities,” said Gene Johnson, president of Arby’s Cruisin’ Crew. “You see the gratitude from the food pantries and how grateful they are for what we’re doing for them.”
The Arby’s Foundation also made a $5,000 donation to the project.
