Caring for Our Community campaign continues work on Austintown home

The house is expected to be completed by Thanksgiving

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The WKBN Caring for Our Community campaign spent Saturday working with Habitat for Humanity in Austintown.

Volunteers from WKBN helped rehab a home on Lake Road for the Elliott family.

There was a lot of work to do on the home, like painting and flooring, so Safelite Auto Glass was also there to help out.

“We’re here because of the community, and if the community is not here we’re not going to be here either. There’s plenty of people who need our help and we have a bunch of able bodies, and we feel it’s important that we put use to that and give back to the community as much as they have given to us,” said Justin Barker from Safelite Auto Glass.

This is the second time WKBN has volunteered on this home. It is expected to be completed by Thanksgiving.
