WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Warren man, charged with robbing a Subway restaurant Friday evening, was arrested after a police search and struggle with officers.
Police said that 31-year-old Danny Jack robbed the Subway on Parkman Road around 7:30 p.m. A cashier told officers that Jack ran off with the cash drawer, containing $200 to $260 at the time.
While searching the area, an officer found him hiding in a pile of leaves. According to a police report, Jack jumped up and began running away, clutching the cash drawer.
Police said he ignored orders to get on the ground. Jack started climbing a fence when an officer was able to grab him and pull him down.
He then struggled with the officer to get away, so an officer tased him, according to the police report.
Police said they found crack cocaine in his clothes.
Jack will be charged with aggravated robbery, obstructing official business, resisting arrest and possession of drugs. He is being held on $3,500 bond.
