SHARPSVILLE, Pennsylvania – Shirlee M. McCullough, 69, passed away Monday morning, November 14, 2016 at Sharon Regional Health Center.
Shirlee was born on April 23, 1947 in Sharon, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Francis and Frances (Thomas) Higgins.
She was a 1965 graduate of Hickory High School and attended Youngstown State University.
She worked at First National Bank for 30 plus years where she started at a teller and worked her way up to a supervisor in the Technology Center in Hermitage. After she left the bank, she worked at the Community Counseling Center in Hermitage, Pennsylvania.
While working, she raised her only daughter on her own. She was a strong willed woman that would give her all to her family. She was a lover of all animals and especially loved Poodles. She was a also a long devoted Cleveland Browns Fan and watched every game.
Shirlee will be missed by her daughter, Stacey (Ryan) Dudash of Hermitage, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Kelsey Dudash of Hermitage, Pennsylvania and Neal Dudash of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; her sister, Marlee (Don) Knox of Toledo, Ohio; her nephew, Jeff Knox of Toledo, Ohio and a great-nephew, Kyle Knox – who is serving overseas in Kuwait with the United States Air Force; her loving dog, Halee and many cousins and friends that she has made over the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Higgins whom preceded her in death on October 1, 1980 and Frances (Thomas) Higgins, whom preceded her in death on January 30, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; cousins; aunts and uncles.
Funeral services for Shirlee will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at Lane Family Funeral Homes – Madasz Chapel, located at 6923 Warren Sharon Road Brookfield, Ohio 44403, officiated by Certified Celebrant Randi Pappa.
Friends and family may visit from 4:30 – 5:00 p.m., prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
